I'm from Toronto, Canada, where winters are cold. That's one reason why I moved to Alanya, Turkey, where it's 15C in the winter.

I've tutored since high school, and I started teaching ESL in 2003. I've taught in Brazil, China, Canada, and Turkey for groups of all sizes and abilities. I speak French, Spanish, and Portuguese. I started to learn Chinese, and now I'm learning Turkish. I love language learning, and enjoy sharing what I've learned.
 

What daily English habits work best for you?
 

I don't just teach English, I teach how to learn English. I search through your busy day for times that you can read, listen, watch, or speak in English. I give homework like reading your favorite stories, listening to an interesting podcast, or watching some youtube. For better pronunciation, try waking up to some tongue-twisters and word pairs.

 

What are your goals?

 

I've spent a lot of my life writing exams, and helping other students prepare for theirs. I have worked with SAT and IELTS university entrance examinations. I always keep focus on my student's goals. Whether you need to pass an exam, have a job interview coming up, or are about to go on holiday, I make my lessons according to what is most important to you.
